Sky-Ops Future Pilots Development Program

(Proudly sponsored by the Civil Aviation Safety Authority – CASA)

Sky-Ops are committed to having a positive contribution to the education of the next generation of drone pilots. With a strong focus around drone safety, Sky-Ops presents their school program to both primary and secondary students in a fun and engaging, learning environment. Sky-Ops utilises learning materials which have been designed to align with the Australian Curriculum.

This program can also be adapted to NDIS and Workforce Australia Providers, as well as training organisations and for personal development. The program is a great addition to STEM classes, return to work programs and even individuals seeking a career change.

The Sky-Ops (Drone Pilots), facilitate the hourly sessions to the classes/groups interested. Sky-Ops also showcase the Little Ripper Lifesaver Drone, which performed the world’s first ocean rescue carried out by a drone.

It was really fun and enjoyable and out of 5 stars I would rate it 5 stars. The biggest thing I learnt is that you can’t just fly a drone anywhere.

Year 5 Student

The Future Pilots Program showed me that there are other pathways available to me for my future career. I will have to tell my dad that he needs to follow the CASA rules when flying his drone.

Year 11 Student

Kuluin State School had the pleasure of welcoming Lauren and Shaun from Sky-Ops (Drone Pilots) for our Year 5 students. They were incredibly professional, highly engaging and made sure that each student was involved. The kids could not stop talking about their visit. I would highly recommend their schools program to inform students more about future careers and drone safety.

We recently had the pleasure of hosting a presentation by Sky-Ops at Immanuel Lutheran College, and it was nothing short of inspiring! Two highly skilled pilots from Sky-Ops engaged a group of 100 Year 10 students with an interactive and informative session on drone technology. They covered critical topics like drone safety and regulations, the diverse uses of drones across various industries, potential career paths, and even detailed the process of obtaining a drone license.

The highlight for our students was the hands-on demonstrations using large, industry-standard drones, complemented by interactive games that not only educated but also entertained. The pilots’ ability to connect with the students, responding to their queries and drawing parallels to their experiences with domestic drones, was remarkable. It was a joy to see our students so animated and eager to learn more.

I wholeheartedly recommend Sky-Ops to any educational institution looking to provide their students with a glimpse into the future of drone technology and the exciting career opportunities it offers. Their professional, engaging, and highly educational presentation is an excellent addition to any curriculum, truly preparing students for the technological advancements of tomorrow.
